You asked for it, you got it...

Got an email this morning from our friends at Shifty Car Rental - a customer survey. Too bad for them I got it when I wasn't busy... I'll leave my comment in the comments.

  1. Q: What is the major reason that you do not plan on renting from us again?

    Comments: "While we EVENTUALLY were given our reserved vehicle, a 12 passenger van, rental staff initially told us the vehicle was not available and attempted to offer two mini-vans as an alternative. 2 minis are not equivalent to a 12 passenger. Also, another member of our group that had also reserved a 12 passenger van ultimately had to rent (12 hours later) from another agency without assistance from Thrifty staff (who had told them to return at a later time and that 12 passenger vans would be available - when they returned at the specified time another customer was leaving in the "last" 12 passenger van). We rent multiple vans for an annual event this weekend. We have rented from Thrifty in the past and WILL NOT do so again. In addition, our van (without pre-paid fuel) was $459 for two days, compared to the $250 the other member of our group ultimately paid at the other agency. In addition to these frustrations, the managers on duty during the evening of 9/17 and morning of 9/16 were unsympathetic, rude and unhelpful in dealing with the fact that Thrifty had grossly over-committed to customers reserving 12 passenger vans."
